Installing And Updating The App:
Installing the App:
1. Download the OneTouch Reveal® mobile app from the Apple App Store and install it on your mobile device.
2. Once the app is installed, open it by tapping on the app icon.
Check Your Mobile Device Settings:
- Some mobile device settings may prevent you from getting notifications and syncing your readings.
The exact location of each setting is determined by your operating system (OS) and mobile device.
To see your OS version, go to your mobile device's Settings and find the About section.
Follow your mobile device manufacturer's instructions for further information.
Locked Apps
For iOS 18 and above:
- Avoid locking the OneTouch Reveal® mobile app. Locking the app is a feature that requires authentication to open the app. Depending on your mobile device this will mean that the app needs either Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode for that authentication. When this feature is turned on, it may delay important notifications from the app.
- Follow these steps to unlock the app:
1. Find the OneTouch Reveal® mobile app on your mobile device's home screen.
2. Touch and hold the app icon to open the quick actions menu.
3. Tap Don't Require Face ID (or Don't Require Touch ID or Don't Require Passcode). Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
4. You will be prompted to verify you are turning the lock off by using Face ID (or Touch ID, or your passcode).
Hidden Apps
For iOS 18 and above:
- Do Not hide the app. Hiding the app is a feature that removes the app from your home screen and moves it to the Hidden folder. Hiding the app will prevent the app from syncing readings with your meter in the background.
- Follow these steps to unhide the app:
1. Go to the App Library by swiping left past all your home screens.
2. Find and tap to open the Hidden folder at the bottom of the App Library. Your mobile device will authenticate using Face ID (or Touch ID or your passcode).
3. Touch and hold the OneTouch Reveal® mobile app to open the quick actions menu.
4. Tap Don't Require Face ID (or Don't Require Touch ID or Don't Require Passcode) from the quick actions menu.
- NOTE: An app that has been moved out of the Hidden folder may not appear on any of your home screens once restored. Follow your mobile device manufacturer’s instructions for information on restoring the app to your home screen.
Focus
For iOS 18 and above:
- Focus is a feature that blocks notifications except from apps you have selected. Using Focus, such as Reduce Interruptions, may prevent you from receiving important notifications. If you would like to use Focus, make sure you have added the OneTouch Reveal® mobile app to the Allowed Apps list.
- Follow these steps to add the app to the Allowed Apps list:
1. Go to your mobile device's Settings.
2. Tap Focus.
3. Tap the Focus you would like to use.
4. Tap Apps under Allow Notifications.
5. Tap to add the OneTouch Reveal mobile app to the Allowed Apps list
Updating the App:
- On iOS, follow these steps:
1. Open the App Store app.
2. Tap on your profile icon in the upper right corner.
3. Scroll down to where you'll find any app updates that are ready to be installed.
- You may either update an app individually or if there is a list of them, tap Update All.
- NOTE: Once you have downloaded a new version of the app, you will not be able to revert back to a previous version of the app.
